One thing I think I notice this year without Steve Belichick doing things is what seems like a lot less exotic fronts , less /almost no blitz packages that Steve was throwing out a lot more last year This year we hardly blitzing , the fronts aren’t exotic or anything … it’d just simple fundamental hard nosed football , flying to the ball and executing well on tackling A good piece for Jarvis would be to look at a game last year maybe an earlier one too see if he notices difference in our fronts and blitzes and if Steve was running more complex stuff … maybe it was Bill too since he was the one with zero college experience compared to Steve who just came off a good year at UW One of the things that they mistake on last year was rolling out too complex ambitious schemes , blitzes and exotic fronts that together with the only 3 weeks together made things even more hard to start the season… I believe that was a combination of not having adapted and fit his system to college yet I knew Bill had felt like he had made big gains in adjusting for this in offseason to focus on the college running qb and almost all college short /internediste passing game without long nfl passing game….. would be cool if Jarvis could take a look in one of the games maybe earlier last year to see if they simplified and adjusted things this year to adapt
