Summary
Injury: We went 1-0 without any significant long term injuries.
We went 1-0 without any significant long term injuries. We had the 2nd team offense gain real game experience, most importantly Hopkins. I also viewed tonight as a glorified scrimmage and I suspect that the focus was on limiting injuries to CJ. A line that Malachi mentioned in his story stood out to me this week. With everything going on this year, he was the only WR who traveled to work out with CJ throwing. He mentioned life issues prevented others. That in part makes his timing with CJ at a different level than the other WR's as he gained reps and trust at a deeper level. This game provided ample opportunities to work on that timing with other WR (unfortunately after Malachi went out). Not beautiful, but sometimes it's best not to see how the sausage is made.
