We're paying Bill to coach this season even if we fire him, so he's not getting fired mid-season. But "respectably competitive while nonetheless 5-7" probably doesn't cut it at this point. Bill needs to start winning the winnable games. And tomorrow is winnable. Lose tomorrow, and it's three more weekends before he gets another shot at a W - all the while hoping TCU makes that W look good, Clemson makes the L look acceptable, and Notre Dame doesn't try to break the scoreboard in order to impress the CFP committee. Winning's the only arrow he's got left.
