Could be self-serving/nepotism, but also could just be Bill felt like Brian was best equipped to be the play caller and he wanted Diaco to focus on DL, which he has been very good at. Two games in, it seems like it’s been a right call. Also, Bill is having great input into the play calling regardless, so we don’t really know how much Brian is actually doing in earnest.
