The purduesports stats show 3rd down conversion defense at 39% (9/23). Scoring defense points is skewed by 2 OT touchdowns for Purdue. That's a lot of points over 2 games. The lack of turnovers isn't great. The pass defense has been exposed off the bat. Purdue has generated 5 sacks which I believe is top 5 so far. I think they may have a couple of decent DE's on this team - just need to let them loose. I'll also add that when wake got into the red zone, I was impressed by how the defense responded for the most part. Sure, there are issues, but they were a 4th down conversion away from being 2-0 If you really want to laugh, look at how much Oregon spent on NIL and how their defense is doing.
