Assuming Jared Curtis gets named the starter tomorrow / this week (*knock on wood*): Clearly, someone involved with the team had opposed Curtis starting at the beginning of the season. Many people think this was Clark Lea. I disagree – his unusually insightful postgame comments on Saturday, as well as his decision to both have Curtis start the 2nd half and also allowing a Curtis-lead offense to go for it on 4th and short four whole times, to me, say that CCL was trying to help Curtis prove the doubters inside the program wrong (while not outright declaring his stance and upsetting others by having JC start) However, many people disagree, and blame Lea, or whoever. My question: Rank these people from least to most likely for being the main reason why Blaze, and not Curtis, was our Wk 1 / 2 Starter - Clark Lea - Tim Beck - Jerry Kill - Diego Pavia - Vanderbilt Football team in general (i.e. Senior Captains / leadership)
