That Walt Taylor catch I just wanted to give Walt Taylor some love after that toe drag. I’ve been really impressed with how hard that dude has worked. As you know, he originally came to Vanderbilt as a quarterback, things didn’t work out, he transferred, and now he’s back trying to completely reinvent himself as a tight end. Watching him during fall camp, I thought he was making a ton of progress. He was running routes well, finding ways to get open, and starting to look more and more comfortable at the position. The one thing I still had some questions about was his hands. Then he goes out there and makes THAT catch. Seeing the toe drag and him come down with that ball made me genuinely happy for him. He’s clearly put a ton of work into making this transition, and it was awesome to see him get rewarded with a play like that. Really easy guy to root for.
