For those who were not around let me set this up. Kerwin sprained his knee and missed about a month. We went on a losing slide after having been one of the best teams in America for the last 3 years. They started the backup again against Auburn and we fell behind 17-0. Finally they put Kerwin in with 10 minutes left. First drive and we get our first touchdown. Next drive we get stalled on about their 35 but nail a long field goal. They get the kickoff and are trying to burn up the clock. Their star Tailback Brent Fullwood (Academic basket case from Florida) FUMBLED the ball and we recovered on about our 30 or 40 yard line with maybe a minute or a minute and a half left. Kerwin drives us down again and throws another TD to Ricky Nattiel. Galen Hall decides to go for the win (plenty of coaches settled for the tie in that situation). That set up the play you just saw there where Kerwin limped in for the game winner. It remains one of the most dramatic turnarounds/last minute wins in Gator history. We went on to beat UGA and fsu with Kerwin back at the helm.
