Alabama is looking to start the 2026-27 regular season 3-0 with a home matchup set against Florida State after a 48-10 win over East Carolina in Bryant-Denny Stadium and a comeback victory on the road at Kentucky by a score of 45-17. The Seminoles are 1-1 on the year with a 34-17 win over New Mexico State and 27-24 loss to SMU, both in Tallahassee (Fla.) to start the season. The game is set for a 2:30 p.m. CT kick and will be aired on ABC. Bama247 team writers Mike Rodak and Brett Greenberg provide official score predictions with some additional thoughts heading into the matchup. VIP ROUNDTABLE: Discussing Alabama's home matchup with Florida State, tossing out some bold predictions BAMA247 ROLL POD: Official Alabama vs. Florida State Game Preview (Photo: University of Alabama) MIKE RODAK: Alabama 42, Florida State 13 — Florida State enters on a 9-game road losing streak dating back to 2023, and has lost those games by an average of 18 points. Unless Alabama trips over itself with turnovers, penalties and defensive breakdowns — all things we've seen in varying doses this season — then there shouldn't be a problem on an afternoon where Mike Norvell's hot seat temperature might match that in Bryant-Denny Stadium. BRETT GREENBERG: Alabama 41, Florida State, 9 — What happened last year is in the past. Head coach Kalen DeBoer said it himself with the "this is the 2026 team" response when asked if it was a revenge game for the Crimson Tide. So did Zabien Brown when talking to the media earlier this week. Alabama has the more talented roster, no question. The defense is coming off an incredible performance and I expect that to continue against quarterback Ashton Daniels and the rest of the Seminoles' offense. Running back Ousmane Kromah is one heck of a talent, though. On the Crimson Tide offense? Just keep improving. Keep establishing the run and keep Keelon Russell in situations to succeed. I like for Alabama to take care of business in a big way on Saturday afternoon. ***BAMA247 ROLL POD: Official Alabama vs. Florida State Game Preview*** Stay up to date with the latest on the Bama247 VIP Boards.
