And he's not the only one. That's why Sping Games moreso are just a day to bring your almost outdated cans of chili, and get some vitamin D. You can take hardly anything away from guys playing aggressive touch football. All the pre-season hype, the cool videos of the guys singing at some big donors house, hikes up Sahallie Falls saying nice things about each other and having a crawdad feast, even the national media proclaiming "it just might be Oregon's year..based on talent and returning players. etc." is fluff. Let's see what is really going on with this team when it counts against Boise...and it looked like we were just picking up the football for the first time in months. Oh, so we should just maul the Cowboys from North Texas. And we played like we were high on cannibis and Lanning and his buddies, Mehringer and Hampton were too. I've watched this team for 50 years. As I've said in so many other threads, watching the Ducks in a half-empty stadium, eating licorice and catching field goals or extra points when I was a kid because there was not an "All State Insurance" net behind the goal posts. Going 2-9 for years or even 4-7 and thinking we were just going to miss the Sun Bowl by a couple games, but at least we were close. That's why I really do despise the people on here that call other people "bandwagon fans" just because they don't stick there lips up the coaches behind everytime they take the field for 50 years and actually critique or maybe even criticize the Ducks play every now and then because they actually do suck!!! That's called realism and being a fan too. I've seen it all...accept a championship. And we're supposed to be good this year...really good. And we're really not....yet. I will continue to love the Ducks till I die. Have and always will, losing and winning. I don't think Lanning is a bad dude nor is he a really bad coach. But he's a knucklehead sometimes. And to be honest, I think he thinks he's great. And it's dictating some of his decsions. He's paid 10 million to do a job that is hard. Whatever is going on so far, after 120 minutes of gametime looks like the "Bad News Ducks." Sorry but it's the truth and I've seen this before from former crappy teams that were supposed to be crappy. This years version wasn't supposed to be crappy. Tonight I'll be in my seat along with my wife, my brother and his wife, and my dad. We've seen so many freaking games over the years it's uncountable. Cheering them on to beat PSU and get their act together a bit before we head to La La Land. Anyways... sorry for the rant and "Go Ducks."
