Bold predictions: Kennesaw State at Tennessee
Summary
Pick/market: Tennessee’s 2026 season is off and running and GoVols247 is bringing back one of our staple features for each and every game: Our bold predictions.
Tennessee’s 2026 season is off and running and GoVols247 is bringing back one of our staple features for each and every game: Our bold predictions. The premise is simple – our three-man staff picks three things (basically prop bets) we think will happen in that week’s game, and the catch is those predictions have to be somewhere between adventurous and unrealistic, and creativity is appreciated. After winning on the road at Georgia Tech, Tennessee wraps up the non-conference portion of its schedule against Kennesaw State on Saturday night at Neyland Stadium (7:45 p.m., SEC Network). The 15th-ranked Vols must maintain their focus with a potential visit from No. 1 Texas looming next week, while the defending Conference USA champions are 1-1 in their second season under Jerry Mack, the former Tennessee running backs coach (2021-23), after blanking West Georgia and losing to Georgia State. Having already made our score predictions for the game, our three-man crew of Patrick Brown, Ben McKee and Ryan Callahan each makes a trio of predictions we think could happen in the game and explains why we think it will. How did we do last week? Tennessee came up a sack short of Ryan’s five-sack prediction and Patrick missed an Arion Carter tackle bold (he had eight, Patrick picked 12), leaving Ben’s call of the Vols winning the turnover battle as the lone hit.
