There’s a little nervousness around Lubbock tonight, and honestly, it’s understandable. Texas Tech is a 7.5-point favorite over Houston, but we haven’t exactly looked like the team many expected through the first two games and the media is stacked against us. Fritz plays well on the road.. There have been flashes, but the overall performance has left plenty of room for improvement. But here’s the thing: it’s Week 3. That's when we improve. It’s a Friday night in Lubbock and there’s something about those night games under the lights that brings a different energy to this place. Houston is good. But tonight feels like one of those games where Tech has a chance to remind everyone what this team can be. This will set the stage for a good year. This won't be low scoring like most expect.
