We’re excited to welcome Tony Catalina to the 247Sports network. Tony joins us from the Austin American-Statesman, where he quickly established himself on the Texas A&M beat. In a short amount of time, he showed the ability to handle the day-to-day grind of covering the program on site, across football and beyond, while consistently delivering strong reporting and perspective. Prior to that, Tony covered the Dallas Cowboys for Pro Football Network and contributed to outlets like the New England Football Journal and SB Nation’s Blogging the Boys. He brings a mix of reporting, analysis, and content experience that translates well to what we’re building. What stood out most to us was how quickly it became clear he was someone we wanted to go get. After about ten minutes talking with Tony, we knew he checked the boxes we want to prioritize. Tony brings a strong on-site presence and a voice we believe is going to resonate in this market for a long time. We’re confident this is a step forward for the site, both in terms of day-to-day coverage and overall direction. He’ll also play a key role in helping elevate our podcast and video presence, an area we focused on improving with this hire. We want to add another dimension to how we deliver content to you guys. We’re excited about what this means moving forward and where things are headed. You can follow Tony here: https://x.com/Tony_Catalina Welcome him aboard. He will officially start on Monday!
