Gameday Thread, Cursive Edition: TCU vs. Arkansas State
Summary
QB/OL: It took a quarter for the Frogs to finally find their rhythm against Grambling but once they found their groove the flood gates opened.
It took a quarter for the Frogs to finally find their rhythm against Grambling but once they found their groove the flood gates opened. But, several questions remained after the game. Can TCU's defensive backfield and linebackers handle a more pass heavy attack with a more capable QB? Can the defensive line continue to get pressure when faced with a more formidable OL? Can the wide receivers catch the deep ball? Were the millions spent on LED lights worth it? And what font did the grounds crew use for this week's endzones? Well tonight we probably won't get any of those questions answered.
The Red Wolves of Arkansas State are in town with a slightly higher octane offense than Grambling (think mid-grade at the pump) that should expose this TCU defensive backfield to larger and quicker targets. Can the Frogs dominate early or does this game have the whiff of G5 games past that were a battle until late in the game? I'll be providing play-by-play here in the Gameday Thread for those of you without ESPNU, and Nathan will be joining me on the socials. See everyone for kickoff at 7PM tonight!
