What they were saying about Arkansas' 45-17 loss to Georgia
Summary

Arkansas scored its second late fourth-quarter touchdown with 40 seconds left to make the final look somewhat better at 45-17, but the No. 2 Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0 SEC) were never threatened during Saturday's 11 a.m. meeting in Fayetteville (Ark.).
Kirby Smart's visiting Dawgs left their passing game on the bus in the first half, throwing it just six times with five completions as the running game raced to a 164-11 halftime edge. The Hogs would add just six to their rushing total in the second half while Georgia tacked on another 90.
Perhaps the most surprising parts of Saturday's contest – aside from an unexpected quarterback rotation between KJ Jackson and AJ Hill – was the Arkansas defense matching Georgia's unit in both tackles for loss (6) and sacks (3). The Razorbacks, of course, still managed to lose the turnover battle, the special teams battle, the third-down battle, spent half as much time in the red zone, and then shot itself in the foot with red zone penalties on their way to losing the penalty battle.
"Yes, sir. Yeah, we had decided, really, on Monday that that's what we were going to do," head coach Ryan Silverfield said of the quarterback situation. "The whole plan all along was to get KJ two series, and regardless of how those went, and then AJ, the next 2 series and then make a decision from there.
"I think part of it is what we did was this past week and clearly not to the level we needed to or to the improvement we needed to is, 'OK, what plays can KJ run well and read well, and what plays can AJ run well and read well? And then not just give them a menu of, 'Hey, here are the 250 plays we've run in this past 10 years.' What else do you like? And you saw, I mean, I think today, probably 20 plays that we've never run before, some were effective. Some weren't."
Arkansas' average third-down distance was 9.5 yards compared to 5.5 for the Bulldogs. Gunner Stockton was efficient in the throwing game at 10 of 13 for 147 yards and a touchdown, but he did most of the damage with his team-high rushing total of 97 yards on seven totes.
There was a major offensive highlight provided by Jackson to Chris Marshall, plenty of missed opportunities, and the usual frustrating play as Arkansas lost its ninth straight SEC home game.
