Sorry you had to sit through that one in person, Mike. We can ***** on the players all we want but at a certain point but there is no question this BC team is 2x as talented as Maine. Winning by 6 is an indictment on our coaching staff in my opinion significantly moreso than our players (though they certainly didn’t help themselves). Our guys have to be put into a position to succeed. I don’t think I’ve seen a single game outside of the first FSU game where I thought BoB really elevated his team and got the most out of their talent. These guys are transferring out and performing fairly successfully both in the league and at other schools. The fact that we had ~5 guys get NFL looks after last season and 3 guys at the top of the portal and we finished 2-10 is purely coaching. That is not losing on talent, it’s not showing up game ready on Saturdays. Today, the biggest example of this was the opening drive. I was appalled at BoB’s play calling. The second down toss to Dickens I think 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage just was shocking. I’m going to mostly (excuse) 2nd half player performance first off because it was all completely ***** and second off because if I was getting my ***** kicked by Maine I’d probably lose focus a little bit too. Seems like the game plan was go out there and don’t get hurt, for some reason outside of Mason McKenzie. Just horrifically unprepared. Game in and game out. Consistently playing below our talent level. Not saying we are great but if god damn App State is putting up 55 I would at least expect a second half touchdown. None of our BoB teams have been able to exceed the sum of their parts.
