So worth it. Such a fun season last year and you can’t ask for a better first year than a bowl game W. Three games in this year, and I think we’re getting exactly what we envisioned again. Winning helps of course. But we wanted to be a team that can beat up on the teams that we used to be (Merrimacks of the world), compete against some of the P5, and win in the G5. Mission accomplished so far (if we’re loosley defining “win in the G5”). I was pleased with how we played against Vandy. And the game against Coastal today is exactly the type of football we’d want to see. It’s just elevated competition and a higher level of play. If you can win games like that and put an entertaining product on the field, the rest takes care of itself. The students seem more into it and engaged with the team than I think I’ve ever seen. And I’m struggling to envision the Tub having less than 15K spectators this season. It just brings me such joy to see stadium full of energy. Fingers crossed that the days of the apathetic, sub 10K crowds are over. Just have to keep prioritizing the team and the energy will remain.
