No indication that Lance is entertaining calling it quits after this season. I think those type of discussions are way to premature. With that being said, I think there’s two local Kansas City guys that need to be called along with another mid-major. If and when Lance calls it quits. 1. Willie Fritz. We’ve beat around this bush so many times. We could’ve had him more than a time or two. Do people think that ship has sailed? All he does is win. Not just at lower levels like Lance, but like at every level. 2. Dave Doeren. Another local guy. He’s probably getting to the end of his tenure at his respective school. He’s been the head coach at NC State since 2013. Maybe a change of scenery and coming back home will do him some good? 3. Jason Eck. Another Wisconsin native, like Lance. Unfortunately, he’s gonna have multiple options, but dang he would be a good one. There will be other names, but where Kansas football currently is at, I think we could do worse than these three.
