Was watching 30 for 30 on Charlie Ward
Summary
QB: Since I couldn't sleep last night I was up watching ESPN and they had a 30 for 30 with Charlie Ward.
Since I couldn't sleep last night I was up watching ESPN and they had a 30 for 30 with Charlie Ward.
They talked about his athletic ability and coming into his own learning how to play quarterback. I think the offensive coordinator back then was Mark Richt.
And he said when they were trailing in a game they went to the hurry up and when they did that Ward started getting comfortable and putting up big numbers and led them on a comeback.
The next game they got into the same situation and they went to the hurry up and he responded the same way. Richt said after the game his wife asked him why would he just not start in the hurry up why would he wait to fall behind because Ward looked really comfortable in it.
I thought it was interesting that I happened to watch that last night and then today I thought Marshall looked the best he's looked all year in that hurry up offense they went to. He looked comfortable in it. Richt said they switched to the hurry up and that's all they ran the year Florida State won the national championship. Just something to think about
