1) Overcoming adversity is cliche, but it certainly describes every bit of today. First of all, don’t forget about the weather delay. I feel like stuff like that always throws off the away team more than the home. Then to overcome that awful start was just incredible. I almost prefer that it happened this way compared to if we dominated them start to finish like Minnesota because we see what this team is made of. 2) Fluff is the perfect compliment to KT. Tremendous start to the season. 3) I feel like Ant is a better version of himself last year, and then Ragins/Frisco combined are sort of taking Brennen Thompson’s catches/tds. Quis is a solid number 4. 4) LT is not ideal, but clearly the offensive line played a good enough game to score 41 points so even today it’s hard to complain. Depth is worrisome though. Steen ain’t it. 5) I just don’t see us losing to Missouri. Davis Wade is going to be insane, probably the best atmosphere since 2018 Florida, and maybe even surpassing that. 6) KT’s highlight reel 3 games in is insane. It’s still hard to comprehend what we have right now. 7) Lebby… has stepped up big time as a head coach. First of all, I love how he fires up his players after tds. He also has done a good job twice now of running down the clock. Could we have finished the game cleaner? Sure, but that sure beats blowing a 17 point lead to Texas. 8) Starkville deserves this. Over the past couple of years, the city has really improved from the landing, Main Street renovation, new restaurants, crossroads district underway, etc. Our football team being good makes all of those investments worth it and I can’t wait to see the town thriving next Saturday. 9) Hate to end on a bad note, but hate it for Trevion. Does this cost us a game this season? I don’t think so, but it’s definitely a blow and I am heartbroken for him. I really hope it isn’t that bad.
