Marcel is a very inconsistent Qb Right now. Just not great, BUT that isn’t a reflection on the rest of their team. They are top tier NIL. Top 6 & there’s a big drop after. Here are my thoughts: 1. we have a legit O-Line. They can pass block AND run block. 2. Minchey was accurate & poised in his first SEC road start. Made great decisions & should have had another TD & another 50-75 yards in his stat line. The operation was impressive. 3. Our defense is good. They gave out against Bama. Sure, I wish we were a bit deeper but I think that was also a combination of being amped up for the first home game against a big opponent and Stein’s first big game & the substitution patterns. It can get better (if we stay healthy) as Stein improves and it isn’t 1,000° outside. 4. I thought we had a really good TE room. I was wrong. We have an ELITE TE room & possibly the best in the country. 5. We have a good 1-2 punch at WR AND RB that can compete on this level. Bama’s corners are insane, but against most teams they can get it done. 6. The coaching. It looks good on both sides of the ball. Operation was flawless. We don’t have dumb penalties. I can deal with the occasional hold, PI, or LIVE BALL incidental personal foul. The illegal formations, substitution infractions, penalties from lack of discipline, etc drives me crazy. 7. Stein is already improving as a coach & seems to have that “IT FACTOR”.
