Summary
Pick/market: September is "basically" November.
Whoopsies. September is "basically" November. I think I did that right.
Thanks for the catch.
In the link I provided, it shows there are different twilight zones after sunset but before it is officially night. We have civil twilight, nautical twilight, and then astronomical twilight. None of those are truly part of "night". They are the transition periods between day and night.
While the sun will have set at 7:27, that by definition does not make it night time. That is when the twilight begins.
On September 26, according to the link I provided above, the twilight zone times are as follows:
Sunset: 7:27 pm
Civil Twilight: 7:27 - 7:56 pm
Nautical Twilight: 7:56 - 8:28pm
Astronomical Twilight: 8:28 pm - 9:02 pm
Night: 9:02 pm
I get this is a very nitpicky topic, but the general population is extremely uneducated about this. People think night time begins when the sun sets, and they're technically wrong.
Without any delays or interruptions, 5:00 kickoff is not a night game. Without any delays or interruptions, the half time of a 5:00 kickoff will not be at night.
The game, without overtimes, delays, or interruptions, will more than likely be over before it is officially night time.
