Tennessee dominated Kennesaw State to win its final non-conference game of the season on Saturday night at Neyland Stadium. The 15th-ranked Vols scored on their first two possessions and extended a 21-3 halftime lead with back-to-back touchdown drives in the third quarter to blow away the defending Conference USA champion Owls and move to 3-0 entering SEC play. Tennessee rushed for 268 yards despite patching things together in a beat-up backfield and held Kennesaw State to just 291 yards. “Ultimately a good win,” Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said after the game. “Offensively, just got to be better in the red zone, but there was some real positives, too. Defensively, ultimately kept them out of the end zone. Gave them some things here on the early part of the game, first drive, but all in all, a good night.” GoVols247 highlights the individual standouts from Tennessee’s win by handing out some game balls.
