- Against Delaware, Virginia receiver Rico Flores Jr. returned after a hamstring-limited camp and early season and caught nine passes on 10 targets. Tony Elliott said getting him involved adds a receiving option; neither he nor the report declared a permanent No. 1 role or guaranteed future availability. - Elliott said Virginia opened with quick throws because Delaware crowded the box, aiming to loosen it for later runs; Beau Pribula then found a rhythm. Elliott also said some protection lapses belonged to the running back or quarterback, not only the offensive line. This was a Delaware-game plan, not a permanent pass-heavy shift. - Elliott said Virginia is still sorting pass-rush personnel even after holding Delaware to about 160 total yards. Kam Robinson's return may provide more flexibility, but Elliott announced no new rush package or settled rotation.
