As a fellow poor, I'm highly qualified to speak on the matter. I actually see this as likely reflective of feedback from the meetings with fans last year. 150 people at $500 each is only 75000 if they sell out (more with alcohol sales obviously), but 75k is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Does that even buy 1 player? I wouldn't think so. Seems like the AD trying to get people involved and hyped for football. If I wasn't a poor, already had season tickets, and lived close enough to make all of the games, I'd probably shell out the 500 to get on the field.
