Virginia emerges from Spring with 'workmanlike' identity — But key questions remain for fall
Summary
Virginia secondary (Hillman, Ellis, Williams, Minter, Costner, Platt, Jackson, Henderson) emerging as signature defensive group with significant depth.
We know the OL will be a signature group on one side of the ball with all the skill players trying to take advantage of what that allows them to do. I have a feeling this year on D it will be the secondary that becomes the signature group. Hillman, Ellis, Williams, Minter, Costner, Platt, Jackson, Henderson. Agard and Morris is a lot of dogs scrapping to get out on that field and hit or cover someone. That is more playable depth for those five positions than I can remember and I am sure I am leaving out a potential contributor or two.
By the way, a little off topic, but if anyone recalls the debate we had about how Dawn reacted when suddenly confronted by Geno at the end of the elite 8 game, when I tried to explain what it was like growing up in Philly and the way you have to react - well my new favorite Omillio explains it very well in the below clip:
