⚡ CFB Dashboard

- LB: Definitely more physical and bigger at certain spots-- but what stood out more was the difference in coaching in a broad sense, as well as the creativity with their offense vs ours.

- Game breakdown: * Heisman candidate QB Noah Fifita has thrown for 75 touchdowns and 9,462 yards in his collegiate career, marks that rank tied for first and third among active FBS quarterbacks, respectively.

- Arizona LB Chase Kennedy says the defense must be more physical against BYU after allowing 258 rushing yards in last season's meeting. He described the NAU opener as a good start with details still to fix. The prior rushing total is context for this week's preparation, not evidence of a newly announced defensive scheme. - Kennedy praised Arizona LB Cooper Blomstrom's range, versatility and physical play in the NAU opener, saying his improvement had been visible since spring. That is a teammate's assessment supporting Blomstrom's development, rather than a reported promotion, new starting assignment or measured snap-share increase.

- QB/OL: * Arizona knows that in order to beat BYU, it is going to have to contain the run and that starts with running back LJ Martin.

- RB/LB: Story on Arizona's first availability report of the season, which has three players out for Saturday's game against BYU.

- DL/LB: The first availability report of the season!

- LB: No changes for Arizona on the latest availability report.

- Pick/market: Preview --- # Arizona vs BYU — Field-Zone Breakdown (Week 1 data) *Built from CFBD's new passing-location data (air yards, depth, and field side by attempt).* ⚠️ Two big caveats before reading into this:...

- Injury: I still think Mahdi gets a respectable (like 5-7) carries.

- LB: Agreed 100% but seeing 5’7” Dash pull another spin move to light up Bachmier for a sack would hit like crack.

- Injury: Don't disagree that depth is good.

- RB/LB: Arizona defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales says L.J.

- QB/LB: to me it was concerning when you consider who our next opponent is.

- RB/LB: Arizona defeated NAU in the season opener and it did not take long for the Wildcats to turn their attention to Saturday's matchup at BYU.

- RB/LB: Brent Brennan doesn't have an update on the timeline on the return of running back Ismail Mahdi and linebacker Max Harris, who filed a temporary restraining order last week to play this season.

- OL/DL: Best thing about yesterday is we escaped healthy and got some stuff on film.

- OL/LB: There were too many missed tackles by the secondary.

- RB/WR: I didn't like the play calling 3rd quarter seems like Doege was trying some things out and it caused NAU to get pressure on Noah and make him throw faster than he wanted to!

- LB: Game one and we purposely don't tackle as much in camp to prevent injuries.

- QB/LB: If Arizona doesn’t get anyone in the portal, I will be their starting quarterback next season.

- LB: Arizona's defense had three tackles for loss and a sack on the opening drive.
