ASU sixth-year LB Zyrus Fiaseu suffers season-ending ACL injury
- Sixth-year Arizona State LB Zyrus Fiaseu tore the ACL in his left knee during the 2026 stadium scrimmage and is out for the season, his second consecutive season-ending injury.
- Owen Long and Martell Hughes have handled most first-team linebacker reps, with Tristan Bacon, Prayer Young-Blackgoat and Ramere Davis among the candidates to absorb Fiaseu's role.
- The loss removes the position's longest-tenured player and a noted unit leader from a linebacker room already replacing 2025 starters Keyshaun Elliott and Jordan Crook.

Sun Devils react to Cutter Boley winning starting QB job
- Kenny Dillingham named junior Cutter Boley Arizona State's starting quarterback after a full camp competition with Mikey Keene. Teammates viewed either option as viable, and Keene is considered an experienced, trusted backup.
- Boley's largest spring-to-camp gain was command: he became louder in the huddle, more comfortable directing the offense and better at putting teammates in the right positions.
- Players describe natural leadership growth after an initially hesitant arrival, but the report provides no practice-based evidence yet about his passing efficiency or downfield production.
