Cincinnati Football Notes: Kenny Worthy Emerging, WR Room Wide Open
- Washington State transfer Kenny Worthy has been Cincinnati's most consistent corner in camp, repeatedly jumping routes and producing multiple interception opportunities with strong man-coverage traits.
- Cincinnati's receiver hierarchy remains open because Malachi Henry and Lorenzo Fenner have been the most consistent while projected leaders JV Gibson and Giyahni Kontosis have mixed high-end plays with drops and uneven days.
- Freshman receiver Josh Smith has paired his 6-foot-5 frame with reliable hands and highlight catches, giving him a realistic path to more immediate playing time than initially expected.
- Gi'Bran Payne and Zylan Perry have been Cincinnati's rising running backs in fall camp, while Zion Johnson has been less explosive than in spring and Cole Tabb has continued to work through health limitations.
- A potential Cincinnati pass-rush package places Zion Johnson, Elijah Gunn and Marquaze Parker across the front with Brian Simms attacking from the DOG position to maximize the unit's best pressure threats.
