Postgame: Curt Cignetti's press conference after Indiana's win over Northwestern
- After Indiana's 2026 Northwestern win, Curt Cignetti said 'Turbo' and 'Kobe' were down and 'BB' took 24 carries for 206 yards, mostly in the second half. Asked about Turbo's injury and return date, he said they would find out; the supplied transcript gives no diagnosis or timetable.
- Cignetti said Indiana's right tackle and tight ends need to improve after its slow offensive start against Northwestern. He said the offense settled in and responded after halftime, but named no line or tight-end replacement.
- Cignetti said Indiana pressured Northwestern's quarterback but failed to tackle him, including on a third-and-13 scramble. He described blitzing as a way to bring him down; this was a postgame diagnosis, not an announced future blitz-rate change.
- Cignetti said Josh Hoover's designed play-action run against Northwestern adds a rushing dimension to Indiana's offense. He recalled a long Hoover run called back the previous week but did not announce a larger quarterback-run package.
