Iowa State position grades: Cyclones blow past Bowling Green
- Iowa State beat Bowling Green 55-7. Jaylen Raynor went 11-of-17 for 133 yards, one TD and one interception, adding 60 rushing yards on six attempts; the writer attributed the interception to poor execution and a defensive play rather than necessarily a bad read.
- Aiden Flora supplied a 61-yard rushing TD and a 66-yard punt-return TD. Cameron Pettaway scored on a 100-yard kickoff return, while Arnold Barnes III took over after the starters finished. The writer inferred a primarily return-oriented Pettaway role from his four carries, not a coach-announced change.
- Iowa State's line created running lanes and generally protected Raynor, allowing one sack. LT Jake Taylor and RG Austin Barrett were taken out on certain first-half running plays; the article does not establish an injury, permanent demotion or replacement order.
- No Iowa State receiver exceeded 34 yards; Pettaway led with three catches for 27 yards. Jamal Polite caught one of three targets for 34 yards, and Omari Hayes had two drops, including a screen.
- Carson Willich, Sullivan Schlimgen and Willie Breland were Iowa State's top three tacklers, each with a TFL; Beau Goodwin intercepted a pass and Jack Janikowski forced a fumble. Bowling Green had 96 receiving yards, 59 on its lone TD after a Singletary-Breland collision.
