Lousville OC Brian Brohm on QB Lincoln Kienholz: This is His Offense, His Team
- Louisville offensive coordinator Brian Brohm said Lincoln Kienholz made substantial progress from spring through fall camp and now looks comfortable owning the offense and its leadership role.
- Kienholz will start Louisville's opener against Ole Miss after winning over teammates with his competitiveness, command of the huddle and confidence.
- Brohm plans to expand Louisville's quarterback-run component because Kienholz's athleticism lets the offense use more of its complementary run concepts.

What I Know, What I Think About Louisville’s Showdown with No. 9 Ole Miss
- Louisville says first-time starter Lincoln Kienholz made major camp gains in comfort, leadership and command of Jeff Brohm's offense after a full offseason in the system.
- Louisville's preferred Ole Miss plan is to establish Isaac Brown and Keyjuan Brown, use Kienholz's mobility selectively and avoid asking him to match veteran Trinidad Chambliss throw for throw.
- Isaac Brown is fresh and healthy after Louisville managed his camp workload, and he returns from an injury-shortened 884-yard, seven-touchdown 2025 season.
- Louisville's upset path requires winning the turnover battle, limiting Ole Miss explosives and giving Kienholz time to find a rhythm behind the run game.
