Updates on Spring Practice and the QB Battle/Rutgers Scarlet Knights LIVE 87
- Top Betting/Intel Takeaways
- Rutgers' QB battle is unsettled and likely extends into fall camp; the hosts do not hear clear separation between A.J. Surace and Boston College transfer Dylan Lonergan.
- Greg Schiano mentioning Sean Ashenfelder was treated as a sign that the race may be more open than expected, or at minimum that the staff is not fully satisfied yet.
- The hosts lean toward Lonergan having a slight edge because he has prior starting experience, but they repeatedly warn that no QB looks locked in.
- The likely starter may have a short leash; one host specifically said a three-interception type game could force a change.
