- Pick/market: In true Mike Leach/Kingsbury style, Elf will get blown out in their next game.

- LB: Joe Yeager and Jarret Johnson discuss their players to watch for Texas Tech's road matchup at Oregon State.

- LB: This is the only class that will be litigious because everyone else is in school and will have the five year option.

- Texas Tech held Abilene Christian to 10 points in its opener, but the preview notes sustained possessions of 9, 11 and 15 plays, only one of which scored. LB Jamond Mathis led the defense with six tackles and 2.5 sacks. The report shows pass-rush production alongside an ability by the opponent to extend drives, rather than uniformly dominant defense. - Texas Tech used three running backs against Abilene Christian: Cameron Dickey had 14 carries, J'Koby Williams 13 and Quinten Joyner 10. Joyner gained 43 yards and scored once. That opener supports a shared backfield role; the preview does not announce a new starter or a change in the rotation for Oregon State.

- Pick/market: Very confident in this team not just this game but every game.

- LB/DB: three NFL starters in their rookie years, plus a CB that will likely be a top 2 round pick and a DT that could go pretty high.

- Pick/market: I have seen enough sample size of Hammond.

- LB: My drunk 3rd quarter thought was: "Would Guz Malzahn or Mike Gundy be willing to be a redzone consultant for our offensive coordinator since they're not doing anything these days?" Immediately began trying to...

- QB/LB: There are so many interactions that create a great offense and a great defense, and nearly all of those were disrupted in one way or another in the offseason.

- Pick/market: Great show as usual.

- LB: We are an impatient bunch - instant gratification is demanded - go easy.

- Injury: Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire provided updates on some key players and their projected availability this weekend in Corvallis.

- Pick/market: Hammond is a young QB.

- LB: McGuire on Will Karoll: "Whenever I mess with him at practice, he'll turn to me and go, 'I didn't hear what you were saying.

- QB/OL: No Defense is going cover a Tech QB on an Option Read until the Back up specialist comes in and then the D End will be assigned to him.

- Injury: Tech fans can lament our underwhelming effort tonight all they want, but I’ll take a team whose QB is coming off an ACL tear and seeing his first game action in nearly 1 year...

- QB/LB: I bet Leavett is hurt soon, if he keeps running like he did lastnight

- QB/LB: The moment we have a defense, we lose an offense and a quarterback that can play period.

- Injury: I do think the play calling reflected an OC protecting the QB coming off of ACL surgery.

- QB/LB: watching the game again There is a LOT to work with on this team.
