Troy Football Press Conference (Players) - Alabama State Game
- Troy safety Justin Poe said a defense with many new faces improved its response after halftime in the opener. He credited TJ's immediate interception with energizing the defense and sideline. This was Poe's assessment of the second-half response, not evidence that the unit's early execution issues are resolved.
- Troy running back Gavin Griffin finished his debut with 81 rushing yards and credited the offensive line for creating that production. He described the running backs as supporting one another; the availability did not establish a fixed carry split or a change to the starting order.
