- QB/LB: 1st team D line dominated, our qb passed the ball well, Our tight ends are a mismatch, Q Brown is electric, we have a great kicker.

- Pick/market: outside of the long QB run for a touchdown, those 3-4 plays made up about 1/2 of the yards they gained (just a guess…).

- Pick/market: Out of upvotes for the first time.

- Virginia Tech's edge pressure generated repeated sacks and takeaways in the 44-21 Old Dominion win. Mylachi Williams forced the strip that Tyson Flowers returned for a touchdown and another fumble recovered at ODU's 20; Cortez Harris added two sacks. The defense still surrendered Quinn Henicle's 76-yard fourth-quarter touchdown run. - Ethan Grunkemeyer extended plays and converted key downs for Virginia Tech, finding Luke Reynolds for two touchdowns and Ayden Greene for 44 yards on third-and-17. Grunkemeyer also lost a late-first-half strip fumble. Bryce Baker entered with 7:41 remaining and later gained 21 yards on a broken play. - Virginia Tech lineman Montavious Cunningham was ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct after a fourth-quarter touchdown. Earlier, Logan Howland replaced Justin Terry at left tackle for one play before Terry returned; the live report does not establish a lasting injury or permanent lineup change. - Safety transfer DQ Smith, who arrived shortly before Virginia Tech's opener, played against Old Dominion and recorded a second-quarter tackle that forced a punt. His participation was confirmed by the live updates, beyond the pregame expectation that he would be available. - Virginia Tech gained field position through Que'Sean Brown's 79-yard return to the ODU one-yard line. John Love made all three field-goal attempts, from 39, 22 and 25 yards, supporting a scoring margin that also included a defensive touchdown.
