- Missouri edge Darris Smith is questionable on Wednesday's initial report for the 2026 Mississippi State game after starting all three games. He has five tackles, including two for loss, and one quarterback hurry. The designation leaves his availability unresolved rather than confirming an absence or clearance. - Missouri offensive lineman Josh Atkins remains out against Mississippi State and has not appeared in a 2026 game. The report says he suffered a knee and leg injury late in spring and reportedly had a setback after a midseason return had been expected; it does not establish a revised return date or replacement starter. - Missouri tight end Gavin Hoffman is listed as out against Mississippi State after returning for the Troy game. The report says he has battled a hamstring issue for several weeks, played in the opener and missed Kansas. His return last week therefore did not establish continuing availability for this matchup.

- Offense: His model has Mizzou above State.

- QB: The opposing quarterback list is daunting for the Mizzou defense.

- Injury: Reserve DT got hurt in week 1 and is out for the season

- Pick/market: Narrative wise it couldn’t be going better for Mizzou.

- Defense: If you got a nickel for every time #Mizzou forced back-to-back turnovers on consecutive defensive snaps this season, you'd have two nickels, which is pretty good for this early in the season.

- RB/TE: The play was blocked correctly, he just needed to cut inside the TE blocking and he would have had green grass.

- LB: I’m not really sure LB is the position that warrants a complaint on this roster.

- DB: Need to get our crap together and stop taking plays off like they don't matter or you could lose this game!

- Defense: is supposed to help but was late.

- DB: Not a star, but he was starting and Greco wasn’t.

- DB: Hate to pile on Greco but I’m with the bulk of you that thinks he ain’t it.

- DB: Auction them off so we can get some more NIL money to buy a real safety.

- Defense: Lol that’s comparing two great individual plays to busted plays on the defense, not even remotely the same.

- TE: I’m no genius but I feel like yet another TE going down completely changed Troy’s gameplan on offense and the Missouri defense has taken advantage of it.
