Behind Enemy Lines: Cody Goodwin of PowerMizzou
- Missouri QB Austin Simmons completed 75% of his passes for 544 yards and seven TDs in his first two 2026 games, then went 10-of-19 for 91 yards and one TD against Troy. PowerMizzou's Cody Goodwin said protection held up against Troy despite the downturn; those are observed results, not a starter challenge or declared future trend.
- Missouri RB Jamal Roberts had 300 rushing yards and back-to-back 100-yard games through the first three 2026 games, per Goodwin. He said the staff was developing depth behind Roberts, including Xai'Shaun Edwards, after heavy recent workloads. This does not announce a new touch split or Ahmad Hardy's medical status.
