- Following Thursday's practice, head coach Kalani Sitake , defensive coordinator Kelly Poppinga and offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick spoke to members of the media to put a wrap on spring football for 2026.

- BYU will conduct its annual Football Alumni Day on Friday, April 3, and conclude the festivities with the 2026 Alumni The Alumni Game being played at 6 p.m.

- The BYU will get on-field work next week to conclude the spring practice season.

- To Ryan's point in the chat, BYU and Utah are the only teams lined at eight and a half wins or higher aside from obviously Texas Tech, which is basically favored to go undefeated. - Top Team-Specific Takeaways - Cuz the quarterback for BYU, unless he takes a big step forward, I mean he's a solid, nice college quarterback, but I don't think he's the type of guy who could carry that team without weapons on the outside. - like maybe they have a superstar tight end they can get it to. - Uh but I'm kind of like I just think Utah's defense would shut them down.

- Notre Dame’s 11.5 win total is being priced like an elite team, but Duck flagged BYU at Provo as a tough road spot and said the Irish are not a must-lay at this number. - Kansas State: Calabrese likes the staff combo of Colin Klein and Sean Gleason to maximize Avery Johnson. He pointed out a favorable schedule with five of the first six at home and no Texas Tech / Utah / BYU on the slate. - Top Team-Specific Takeaways - the offensive line surrendered its fair share of havoc, and that doesn't even chart the havoc that Sorsby was able to wiggle out of or avoid. - French isn't really gonna be able to do that, so I think the defense is going to be put in worse positions this year.

- BYU interior DL group has potential to be among best in program history.

- BYU prioritizing Wong over Ihaeetau; LB pipeline strong; waiting on CB class; avoiding premature fills on low-rated players.

- Expects Asiata contributions back from injury; Tuakoi status unclear.

- Javlyen Williams transfer from Mississippi St is elite talent; fastest in pads; potential gem depth piece.

- Tytan Dejong projects to LB room, possibly Mike or outside depending on size development.

- BYU DEs got 6.5 sacks last year; LBs like Jack Kelly (10) did most QB pressure in Hill's scheme.

- DL standouts include Kirkland, Tanuvasa, Pouha, Fetuli; 4-5 rotation feels confident.

- Defense trending more aggressive with increased blitzing; leaders include Bear, Glasker, Esera, Faletau, Martin, Jojo.
