LIU Grade Card: Final grades and snaps played for the defense
- Kansas' defensive-line grades dominated the LIU review, with David Santiago posting a 94.9 over 23 snaps and Dak Brinkley, Blake Herold, Leroy Harris, and Marcus Calvin all grading at 74.4 or better.
- Trey Lathan gave Kansas another strong front-seven grade at linebacker with a 75.3 over 26 snaps.

- Kansas quarterback Jaylen Marshall graded well overall and completed three of four passes thrown at least 20 yards, but PFF gave him a 35 passing grade under pressure after a near-interception.
- Marshall directed nearly all of his passes to the middle or left side of the field, a Week 1 tendency worth monitoring against stronger coverage units.
- Yasin Willis handled 11 carries in 26 snaps but was marked down in pass protection, while Dylan Edwards earned his best grade as a receiver.
