- In his Sept. 14 pre-LSU review of Charlotte, Pete Golding described Deuce Knight's progress in release timing, pocket reads and protection calls, along with tempo and taking free-access throws. He still identified one or two throws Knight would want back. This assessed his development as a passer beyond his running ability, not a new Ole Miss quarterback order. - Before LSU on Sept. 14, Golding said Ole Miss continually changes signals and terminology and needs multiple ways to signal within the same game. Staff familiarity made communication security important, but he described an ongoing operating practice, not evidence of signal theft or a newly installed offensive system. - Explaining Traylon Ray's special-teams role before LSU on Sept. 14, Golding said he wants Ole Miss' best players on those units and can rest them on offense or defense using rotational depth. He cited Ray's length and movement skills for kicking and return work. This was the coach's usage approach, not a new position change or a fixed snap quota.

- QB/OL: You can throw all the pre game bull$hit talk out the window.

- Injury: Lol all this does is damages Sam Leavitt’s reputation as a QB and being injury prone

- QB/LB: I can’t think of any other QB I would want leading my team into this battle tomorrow night.

- Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss enters LSU week with a touchdown pass in 15 straight games. Lane Kiffin described him as a mature, low-mistake quarterback who requires sustained defensive execution. His 314 passing yards and 71 rushing yards against LSU were from last year's meeting, not a current-season result. - Through two games, Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy has 148 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while receiver Deuce Alexander has 235 receiving yards and two touchdowns. This preview identifies established production entering LSU week; it provides no new injury clearance or workload guarantee for either player.

- QB: To my untrained eyes, a qb like Chambliss should be able to exploit this defense despite it being very good.

- QB: Still not sold on their QB but they do have very good skill players on offense

- QB: I heard him on Sirius today and he had nothing but glowing and positive comments about Trinidad, calling him the best college Qb in the nation.

- QB/RB: Gimme the best quarterback in the country, the best running back in the country, the best kicker in the country, and the best home field advantage that will ever exist.

- Pick/market: Lane's super power is being able to relay on-field reads to QB headset in real time.

- QB/RB: It’s not that complicated in college football these days.

- QB/RB: Okay, you might not know this but there are a lot more players on the field than QB and RB.

- The columnist assessed Ole Miss' defense as vulnerable against Louisville and credited Trinidad Chambliss with rescuing the win. That performance is his reason for concern against LSU, not evidence of a newly reported defensive absence or an announced coverage change.

- QB: Their backup was at Elon last year,, no way a qb from that level can compete in the SEC (that can never happen surely),,, I jest of course.

- QB: Big difference in the other 208 that aren't starting at QB in this game.

- QB: They shouldn’t bet real money on 18 year old boys.

- QB: If we lose to a QB that has no power 4 experience and hasn't played a meaningful snap this season, we weren't winning the game anyway.

- QB/LB: Ole Miss did pretty well with a D2 QB that did not completely know the playbook.

- QB/LB: Now I have never been a defensive coordinator but I find it interesting to see that he has minimal throws to the left.

- Injury: Lane is already looking for an out once he loses Saturday.

- QB: You let even a half decent qb stand around in the pocket and he’ll carve you up.

- QB/TE: Kiffin and Weis are doing everything they can to help Leavitt become an effective passer, so they create many opportunities in the short passing game (crossing routes and TE play).

- QB: I’m not concerned about it but it is an area they could improve on.

- QB/OL: QB Sam Leavitt: 75 Landen Clark: 12 RB Dilin Jones: 55 Stacy Gage: 20 Harlem Berry: 5 Caden Durham: 4 WR/TE Trey’Dez Green: 70 Winston Watkins Jr.: 62 Eugene Wilson III: 52 Jayce Brown...
