- Pick/market: Time to talk Golden Eagle Football tonight 7-8 p.m.

- Pick/market: All I could find was this 55 sec snippet.

- Injury: We got banged up in terms of bumps and bruises form a very physical game.

- Injury: Miss Athletics, 247Sports) Southern Miss spent too much of Saturday night chasing Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown after he had already escaped.

- Pick/market: Had the same thing happen in a big playoff game one year.

- QB: For better or worse, Hampton is the best we have, and he has shown the ability to bounce back from a bad play and make a good one.

- QB: I saw several plays where Mathis was tracking him along the line of scrimmage in the second half.

- Blake Anderson says Southern Miss wants to restore more tempo against UConn after deliberately slowing down to limit Auburn's possessions. Execution remains the constraint: Cefalo identified a missed protection on the opening pick-six and wants Ethan Hampton to hold the pocket, work through progressions and move only when the play calls for it. - Southern Miss' interior line is working with Aloali'i Maui at right guard, Gregg Nunnery at left guard and Joe Rounds at center. Luke Rogers backs up Rounds; Zerian Hudson and Toby Mealer work at second-team right and left guard. The report describes emerging practice stability after earlier guard shuffling, not a newly confirmed game-day lineup. - Davis Dalton has returned to Southern Miss practice. Jaylon Himes is improving after playing through an ankle issue in the first two games; Anderson estimated his earlier level at 80%-90% and said he looked better Tuesday. That suggests improved receiving options, but does not establish full recovery or an unrestricted Saturday workload. - Southern Miss RB Robert Briggs remains in a yellow noncontact jersey with a hamstring injury aggravated while accelerating against Alcorn State. Anderson calls him a game-time decision, so the offense cannot assume his speed will be available against UConn.

- Southern Miss coach Blake Anderson said the Auburn environment exposed communication and composure problems: seven false starts and three personal fouls. He contrasted that with a calmer opener and said the same unforced errors would also be costly against UConn; the change of opponent does not by itself fix the issue. - Anderson traced Southern Miss's first interception at Auburn to a completely missed protection that released a three-technique directly at the quarterback despite an open receiver. That is a protection-assignment problem in his review, not simply evidence of a bad quarterback read. - Southern Miss's early Auburn plan emphasized getting the ball into space quickly rather than attacking the opponent's strong front directly. Anderson said the same concept produced useful quick completions on other snaps; this describes the Auburn plan, not a confirmed UConn play-calling change. - Anderson identified a Southern Miss coverage bust for a touchdown and repeated failures to keep Auburn's quarterback contained despite practicing that priority. Assignment execution and rush-lane discipline remain concrete defensive corrections before UConn, with no new coverage scheme announced. - Anderson saw isolated Southern Miss positives at Auburn, including a sustained scoring drive, difficult catches, hard rushing yards and a successful two-point conversion. But the team did not follow that with the needed stops around halftime or consistent follow-up possessions, so he did not present those flashes as a settled offensive recovery.

- DL: Well, the only reason they would put in a much higher amount would be to gain a competitive edge against st other teams.

- Practice: Other teams can sign a player off of a team's practice squad.

- Intel: It’s crazy how we still had a few fans willing to defend Johnson.

- DL/LB: Southern Miss host Uconn in a messiring stick contest for both teams Southern Miss has the edge in speed.

- Intel: Got my first three stents because we had a streak where every time we won, I had eaten a big one.

- Intel: When you’re as invested as a lot of us here have been over the years, the last 15 have been very difficult to watch.

- LB: This was from last season, haven’t seen it mentioned this year.
